  • I thought is was a great race as well, poshest portaloos I've ever been in. Only problem was that on that hill at the end I couldn't work out where the finish line was as it was tucked round the corner. Marshalls were great. Hopefully this will become a regular race
  • I thought it was great really, and deserves to attract more attention next year. The course was fine although the "cross-country" section made me feel a bit tired! As I was in second place for more than half the race and not able to see the leader (Mike is far too fast for me!) it was wonderful to have marshalls at every single junction. I wouldn't say it was a PB course particularly because of the down/up split, but definitely an enjoyable one on some very quiet roads.

In short:Amazing atmosphere, great village support and friendly faces
In short:Poshest loos ever! Nice, friendly run, with just enough inclines to add interest.

In full: Another thumbs-up from another satisfied customer. Great for all abilities, I ran it with my wife as her second ever 10k and she had the same smile I did at the end.
Well done and a big thank you to everyone involved.

In short: This is the best race I have run.
In full: Wonderful organisation, easy parking, fantastic atmosphere, PB potential and a good mix of runners. A few other races would do well to look at what the organisers of this race have done. Every effort was made to make the whole experience very personnel and easy.

In short: Just great

In short: Very well organised for 1st race event.
In full: This was my first ever race and nervous to say the least! Coupled with it, it was their first race event I was wondering what is going to happen.

To say that in my opinion it was very well organised and well supported and friendly is an understatement.
Everyone from the organisers, marshalls and the runners made me feel very relaxed.
The two people I ran with for most of the race were very supportive.

Overall, it was a great place to run.

In short:A superb small race
In full: Well organised and very friendly all round. The organisers e-mailed you and let you knew what was happening (even a long-term weather forecast!).
Only a small point, and very minor as it was only 160 runners, the finish was narrow and the finishers had to get out the same way as the stragglers coming in, making it difficult for the photographer and maybe a bit awkward. But that, in no way spoilt anything about the race. I will be back next year.

In short: Very friendly, well marshalled, brill goodie bag!!
In full: The atmosphere was very friendly on this race from beginning to end. All marshalls were supportive and it was a well marshalled course. I got my first sub 44 and was second lady, my sister was first so a very good day all round. Would definately do it again next year if it's run again. Thanks to all the volunteers from both me and my sister.

In short: Faultless!!
In full: What more can one say! Fantastic route - mostly country lanes, lovely encouraging Marshals, luxury loo :) and a great goody bag too! A huge well done to all the organisers on this their debut race, I couldn't fault it and I think this one is definately here to stay - very well done again to all and see you next year!

In short:Very friendly
In full: A really friendly atmosphere. It seemed like absolutely everyone was smiling and this makes a difference when you're running.
It was a very well organised race with a well thought out goody bag which was great value.
A nice touch was to have our names on our running numbers so the supporters could shout encouragement by name, ahich gave me ann extra lift.

I really enjoyed this race.

A really big thanks go to the organisers and all the volunteers.

In short:Excellent organisation & very friendly

In short:Excellent: well organised, friendly, interesting undulating course
In full: No need to make any allowances for the first-time running of this event: it was excellent by any standards. I spent half the race out of sight of the leader but there were marshalls (very encouraging thank you!) everywhere you needed them. I enjoyed the course - and some nice touches including a thoughtful goody bag and prize. Many thanks and hope to see you again for the second event next year!

In short: great debut race for High Legh.

Emails.

I just wanted to say thank you for a lovely 10k race today. I had a really great time. It was great that the race started bang on time, and the route was clearly marked. The marshalls were all helpful and upbeat, the goody bag was very nice - I shall treasure the mug! - and the route was smashing. I was pleased that the markers were accurately placed, according to my GPS.

The best news of all for me - I got a PB!

I hope that next year you will be able to contact this year's runners to invite us to run again.

Thanks for all the effort which went into organising it - it really is appreciated.
